1. Who we are

Front Row is an independent sports platform that lets you follow teams, see live scores and where to watch them, and interact socially with other users. Front Row is operated from the United Kingdom.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account information. When you create an account we receive your name and email address from your chosen sign-in provider (for example Google). We also store a username and any display name you choose.

Profile information. Any information you add to your profile, including a profile photo, bio, your selected favourite teams, and your selected streaming subscriptions.

Content you create. Posts, comments, reactions, messages in chat rooms, and direct messages you send through the Service.

Technical and usage data. Information your device sends automatically, such as IP address, browser type, device type, and how you interact with the Service.

Approximate location. Where relevant to show locally accurate information (such as broadcast availability), we may use an approximate location derived from your device or IP address.

Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we store a token that allows us to send them.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

  • Create and manage your account and profile;
  • Provide the core features of the Service, including personalised scores, fixtures, feeds, and social features;
  • Deliver messages and notifications you have asked for;
  • Maintain the safety and security of the Service, including preventing abuse and enforcing our Terms of Service;
  • Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it;
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

4. Legal bases for processing

Under UK GDPR we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract. Processing necessary to provide the Service you have signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests. Keeping the Service secure, preventing abuse, and improving our features, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent. Where you have opted in, for example to push notifications or approximate location. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation. Where we are required to process data to comply with the law.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf under contract, and currently include:

- Clerk — authentication and sign-in; - Supabase — database and application hosting; - Stripe — payment processing for Front Row Pro subscriptions; - Cloudinary — image hosting and delivery; - OneSignal — push notification delivery; - Vercel — application hosting and content delivery (CDN). - Google AdSense — when advertising is enabled on the Service, Google AdSense may process technical and usage data to serve ads. We will update this policy and provide any required notices before advertising is switched on.

  • Other users, but only the information you choose to make visible, such as your username, display name, profile photo, public posts, and public chat messages.
  • Authorities or third parties where we are legally required to do so, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Front Row or others.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection as required by UK data protection law.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Ask us to delete your data ("right to erasure");
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on it;

8. International users / California residents

Front Row is a UK-based service and this Privacy Policy is framed around UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, which govern our processing of personal data regardless of where in the world you access the Service from.

If you access the Service from outside the UK, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the UK and by the service providers listed in Section 5, some of which operate internationally. We take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection for any such transfer, as described above.

California residents. If you are a resident of California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion of your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising outside of the advertising disclosures in Section 5. To exercise any CCPA rights, contact us at inbox@prismal.co.uk; we will handle your request consistently with the process described in Section 7 above. You can also exercise the opt-out of sale or sharing at any time, without contacting us, using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information control, which persistently disables advertising cookies on your device.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the Service.
